Celebrate Lie! The Workshop

Note: Upload of the scans of the entire workbook will be available here soon!

Note2: Interesting how Life without F becomes a Lie. eh? ;)

Front Cover

Today we’re doing a workshop that celebrates lie! Here we have an impressive looking book cover, sort of like those dusty tomes of magical spells one finds in the Harry Potter movies. How ironic!

Why sex outside of marriage is always wrong

Sex outside of Marriage is Always Wrong

Yay! Indoctrination and values distortion proceeds apace! Oh, and don’t forget to lynch the homos and dykes! Homosexuality and gayism is a mental disease, and we should all lock them up in a mental institution and electrocute them until they repent those sick bastards recover!

Now that we’ve been brainwashed, that means we can self-righteously judge other people and condemn them in God’s name!

Condoms are ineffective in preventing HIV transmission

Condoms are ineffective in preventing HIV transmission

You know, sometimes, for some unknown reason in quantum physics, sperm can actually swim through pores in latex condoms! And you see, since each sperm is 5 microns (whatever the hell that means) and a HIV virus is 0.1 microns, doesn’t that mean condoms cannot prevent the sexual transmission of HIV at all?!?

But my friend ask me a funny question. You see, water molecules are made up of 2 hydrogen atoms and 1 oxygen atom right? And each water molecule is 0.2 nanomicrons right? Then how come condoms don’t leak water leh?

I also dunno. But since workbook say, then must be right! I cannot question it, and must believe this book completely!

Sex without procreation is mutual masturbation

Sex without procreation is mutual masturbation

And we all know that is wrong, right? Because masturbation is just using your own body, and masturbating someone else is worse, because we’re using their body for our own sexual pleasure!

Even though when I masturbate the other person, its not me who feels the pleasure… *error error, does not compute, logic malfunction, brainwashing incomplete*

Using contraception means you believe abortion is justified

Using contraception means you believe abortion is justified

Dayumn right! And if you read Harry Potter books, it means you believe in witchcraft and the Devil. If you watch science fiction shows it means you believe in aliens, and the devil. If you’re a girl who dresses skimpily, it means you’re a shameless hussy asking to be raped and you believe in the devil.

Using this workbook on schoolchildren means you believe that lying and deceiving children is justified.

Conservative values and fundie values dovetail, so it’s a good opportunity for them to plant the seeds of their MLM, especially since no other groups are willing to provide sex education (of course there’s a hidden agenda! Why else would they be so willing to provide sec ed?)

Anyway not all groups are as bad, it seems: http://img65.imageshack.us/my.php?image=sextok1wi.jpg

At first, these assholes appear merely insane. After careful study, the diabolical nature of their attack on self-esteem becomes apparent. What they seek are sexually frustrated and ashamed individuals to become drones in their money machine. Sexual repression leads to religious ecstasy, shame leads to money in the collection plate. They are morally bankrupt control freaks. Onan forever!

*blinks* That’s just a Very Subtle Satire of what presumably is being taught in Sex Ed. in schools, right? Like, something that’s just going around on the internet, right? It’s not actually a workbook (albeit rather touched up and gothic-cised) for our Sex Ed, is it? Only it looks bloody genuine and…my brain refuses to process the fact that this may actually be used.

    *read again*

BLOODY FUCK THEY ACTUALLY USE THAT IN SCHOOLS?? JC, issit? Because I haven’t received a copy of that workbook yet. I think I’d laugh myself horribly sick if we ever get it, though.

I think that this is really sick. The brainwashing part really makes people mistrust this kind of “education”. It is rather sad since people nowadays are exposed to many of such talks and some facts that are presented may be true, but due to these “black sheep” out their trying to cheat people of their money, I can really understand why people get angry. Anyway, it is stated clearly that external vendors are hired when the teachers are unable to teach students about a particular subject. However, I beg to differ in this case since there are already sexuality education in the science syllabus, imposed by the government. So, with reliable science books which presents the facts much more accurately than these talks, I find that there’s no real need to waste money and time listening to such a useless talk.

It’s worse in the education system since people are being forced to attend the talk. The worse thing is, the government give grants for schools to subscribe to these talks. Perhaps, if these external vendors can come under closer scruntiny from people who specialize in a specific area, more reliable information will be provided and conveyed to everyone, and make the talk a more meaningful and fruitful one.

This is hilarious and a complete farce! Complete misinformation and obviously reflects the views of some narrow minded individuals! I really hope it’s not another stupid ‘mistake’ by AJC to get them to hold the workshop cos during my days in AJC (89/90) there’s been so many that the principal was affectionately called Mokster!

Book looks really cool but think the Family Life Society is going to go through some rough times about this.

First thing first, they helped me when I was pregnant out of wedlock so I am not going to slam this group of people who went the extra mile to help my parents accept my situation and then my decision to keep the kid.

From what I have read so far Catholic organizations have been preaching Catholic morals and beliefs about premarital sex and all that in secular schools which are upsetting people to no end.

I champion their cause and understand why they went all the way because with God there is no grey area. It is either right or wrong. They cannot preach the secular standpoint and compromise their Faith and belief.

In this situation, they are not the ones who should pay the price of the public outrage.

The schools and MOE made the decision to let them to teach this class in the secular schools (ie non- Christian schools) so they should pay the price not FLS or any other Catholic organization that ran these classes and had to pay the price of the controversy.

If MOE would come up with a neutral course in SEX ED instead, the public would not be thirsting for the blood of these organizations who mean well but have stepped on people’s tails.

I feel that it might be more effective in this instance to get people who went through the whole premarital sex thing and then the whole abortion or single parenting thing to give an “unplugged” talk about their experience… and then have someone explain why condoms are not successful at preventing pregnancies and why rhythm methods are not foolproof… so that sometimes the best way to not get into trouble is to not be a curious cat.

The issue is not whether people are free to preach their religion. I strongly support the right of people to pursue their own faith, and to preach it, as long as they do not coerce, deceive or physically force people in anyway.

The problem now lies in the fact that this book clearly misrepresents many factual details, to the extent where I can argue that it is fraudulent.

I don’t believe the Catholic church would ever approve of this. The Catholic church has a long tradition of scientific inquiry and scholarship. To blatantly distort the facts in order to achieve the agenda… is a betrayal of the Catholic faith.

No, the issue is not with Catholics. The issue is with this organisation only, and their methods of teaching.

Does anyone know if FLS prints the books themselves? Where does the book originate from?

The problem is that this free choice is effectively made void by the fact that the Family Life Society lied about the effectiveness of condoms, and the nature of its ineffectiveness. [...]
