Two thousand and seven
I have been a grinch and a scrooge, and did not give out xmas and new year greetings to my readers. No wonder I don’t have any. Anyway for the handful of you here, I do hope this year will be great for you. =)
For myself, this is the list of things I have to do.
1. Graduate
I do this at the end of March. Yay. Been a long time coming, parents never forget to remind me that they have waited too long for this.
2. Get my Victorian practicing license
If all goes well, I get this in October.
3. Work
I’ve been lucky to be able to avoid this thing called “work” for so long. Some of my friends tell me it is living hell, others say they quite like it. A common ground is that the moolah makes one happy. That’s good enough for me.
The question is, I have no idea where I will be after October. If I get a job here in Melbourne, I might stay, I might not. I do like this place, but I’m tired of it, after being here for 5 years. I need a change of scene, to be someplace else different.
I do miss Singapore dearly, but I’m not sure if I want to go back immediately either. Of course, the idea that I would have to work as a lowly peon for 3 years before I qualify to get qualified to be a lowly peon simply does not appeal to me.
Did I ever mention that my dream job is to work for Google?
Here’s to the new year and the uncovering of its unknowns.
