Creative Commons Singapore

I have been a supporter of Creative Commons for a long time, and I have always wondered if Singapore would get a localised version of a CC license. Due to the time and resources required to “port” a CC license to a local jurisdiction, most international CC licenses have been ported through the support of some university or institution.

Recently I discovered that the Centre for Asia Pacific Technology Law & Policy( CAPTEL) at Nanyang Technological University have actually been working on a Singapore version of the CC license . This is great and heartening news to me, and I’m really proud that Profs Samtani and Chieliotis were willing to put in their time and energy for this non-profitable and yet socially beneficial endeavour.
